Overview
Alpha Flexible Backer Pads support hook-and-loop polishing media while allowing it to follow curves and contours. Designed as part of Alpha’s wet-polishing system, they are suited to inside corners and shaped areas where a rigid pad would not conform as readily.

Applications
Use a flexible backer when polishing contoured stone or tile, including curved edges and inside corners. Select a rigid backer instead when the priority is maintaining a flat surface or straight edge.
Selection and Use
- Choose 3, 4 or 5 inches to suit the media and access needed for the shape being polished.
- Confirm the 5/8-inch-11 tool connection. Metric mounts are not offered on this page.
- Observe the attached abrasive’s own operating limit as well as the backer’s 6,000 RPM maximum.
