Overview
STABILA Type 96 M levels combine a reinforced rectangular aluminum frame with recessed rare-earth magnets for hands-free readings on steel. Model-specific handgrips and lengths are shown below so the long and compact versions are not confused.
Features
- One horizontal and two vertical vials, with spring-steel hairline indicators.
- Suitable for reverse, vial-down readings.
- Removable shock-absorbing end caps with anti-slip wall grips.
- Longer frames bridge the horizontal vial for continuous scribing and rigidity.

Applications
Use for level and plumb checks on suitable steel framing or other ferromagnetic components. The 78 in. model positions its magnets for attachment to steel hinge leaves when working on wooden door jambs.
