Overview
The STABILA LD 520 measures distance with a camera-based target locator and 4× zoom for aiming at distant targets. Its color display, inclination sensor and Bluetooth Smart connection support measurement and documentation on indoor or outdoor jobs.

Applications
Use for measuring longer building dimensions, locating targets through the camera, and indirect measurements around obstructions. The calculator can apply fixed rates or factors to measured quantities for estimating.
Selection and Use
- The ±1 mm figure is not unconditional over the entire range: target reflectivity, ambient light and distance affect tolerance. Read the technical-data conditions in the manual.
- Use a tripod for more accurate indirect measurements and avoid transverse tilt during inclination work.
- Bluetooth requires a compatible device and app; verify current support before relying on a documentation workflow.
