The 12" Speed Square combines framing, try-square, miter and protractor functions for layout work. Common-rafter and hip/valley scales provide one-number references for the indicated cuts.

Applications

Rafter and Repetitive Layout
Rotate the square to the required roof-pitch value on the appropriate scale. The slot along the scales can accept an adjustable locking pin made with a 1/4" bolt and nut for repeated cuts. Verify the layout before cutting; do not assume the locking hardware is included.
