Description

Overview

Schluter RONDEC outside corners continue the rounded reveal around an outward-facing tile corner. These formed fittings connect matching profile lengths without cutting a miter in the visible bullnose. The Configuration menu distinguishes the original two-leg 3/8-inch aluminum corners from standard corner fittings in other heights and materials.

Match the corner geometry, profile height, material and finish together. A similar color alone does not establish a correct fit.

Specifications

  • Profile family: RONDEC rounded edge trim.
  • Turn: 90° outside corner.
  • Configuration: Two-leg or standard corner, as selected.
  • Height and material: Identified in each configuration; available fittings include aluminum, PVC and stainless steel.

Applications

Use at projecting corners around tiled wall returns, niches and backsplash details. Confirm the profile's exact height and material before ordering, then count the outward-facing turns separately from inside corners and open ends.

Fitting the Corner

Dry-fit the corner with both adjoining RONDEC lengths before setting tile. Schluter specifies thin-set mortar to hold the corner in place; fill the profile ends before inserting the fitting. Remove setting-material residue promptly and use tools that will not scratch the visible finish.
