Overview
The QEP 10038 locking contour gauge captures irregular shapes so they can be transferred to material before cutting. Press its plastic teeth against the obstruction, then lock the profile for tracing.

Applications
For fitting vinyl, wood, porcelain or ceramic tile around pipes, columns, conduits and irregular walls. It also helps copy profiles at base molding, chair rails, crown molding, doors and window frames.
Selection and Use
- Press the gauge against the shape and pull the lever before moving it.
- Trace the locked profile onto the material with a China marker. A second connected gauge extends the available span; it is not required for profiles within the six-inch length.
