    Laticrete SPECTRALOCK 1

    I am a first time DYI shower tiler so take this review for what it's worth as I have nothing to compare it to. I saw a SPECTRALOCK 1 video and it seemed easy to use and maintain so I was sold. The product was very dry and chalky like that indoor play "sand" I get for my kids. I found out that by getting the rubber grout spreader wet and throwing a few drops of water on the mix before application made it much creamier and easier to work with. I really liked it that there was no mixing and that I did not have to do it all at once. Just came off the thinset and grouting was so much easier with this product. Seems very expensive compared to the alternatives but for someone who does not make a career doing this I feel it was definitely worth the investment.
