Overview

The IMER Mix 120 Plus Mortarman is a portable vertical-shaft mixer for mortar, stucco, grout and dry-pack cement. Its paddles rotate through the mix, and the reversing gearbox provides a way to work material that begins to clump or separate. A bottom discharge lets the operator portion material into a bucket or wheelbarrow.

Applications

The Mix 120 Plus is particularly useful for stiff dry-pack cement and other mortar mixes that benefit from paddles staying in the material. Controlled bottom discharge lets the batch be transferred a little at a time instead of tipping the entire drum.

Selection and Use

• Select the grate for the work: open grate or iDUST vacuum-port grate. A connected dust-control setup is required to use the vacuum feature.
• Rubber paddle scrapers are available separately as kit 1107618; they are not standard paddles supplied with every mixer.
• For cold starts below 40°F, follow the gearbox warm-up guidance. Do not operate below 32°F (0°C), as specified in the linked manual. Use the machine’s electrical-supply instructions when selecting an extension cable; the listed setup guidance specifies 10-gauge cable up to 50 feet.
• Stay within the 3/8-inch aggregate limit and follow material-specific mixing requirements rather than treating every batch as the same mix.
