Use as the finished walking surface in an approved exterior wood-tile pedestal deck. Its rectangular footprint requires a layout and support plan suited to this exact tile size; do not assume it uses the same arrangement as a smaller square tile.
Selection and Use
- Plan using the actual dimensions and the required joints, not nominal 4 x 2 ft. dimensions alone. Include tile thickness and weight when determining deck height and loading.
- Decide whether to allow natural graying or maintain the brown appearance with a suitable cleaning and sealing program. Wood is a natural material, so color can vary from photographs and between tiles.
- The stated Class A result is a spread-of-flame test classification for the product, not a promise that every roof/deck assembly is fire-rated. Confirm the complete project requirements.
