Schluter Kerdi-Drain-A w/ 2" Drain and 4" Grate & Residential Adapter Kit
The Schluter Kerdi-Drain-A adapter kit is utilized to adapt, rather than remove, traditional clamping ring drains to bonded waterproofing applications. The kit produces a new drain assembly with an integrated bonding flange securely connected to the conventional clamping ring drain, ready for the bonded waterproofing membrane to be applied.
Schluter-KERDI-DRAIN-A is a floor drain specifically designed to allow connections to Schluter®-KERDI or other load-bearing, bonded waterproof membranes. The membrane is adhered to the large integrated bonding flange to form a waterproof connection at the top of the drain assembly. KERDI-DRAIN-A consists of a drain casing and fully adjustable grate assembly or covering support to which tile is applied.
The grate assembly accommodates a wide range of tile thicknesses and allows lateral and tilt adjustment as well. The covering support is placed flush with the top of the bonding flange and can therefore accommodate any thickness tile covering.
The standard KERDI-DRAIN-A is attached directly to the waste line. The plastic drain casings feature a fleece-covered bonding flange, and the drain is attached to the pipe using an appropriate solvent cement. The simple connection to standard drain outlets makes KERDI-DRAIN-A suitable for new construction and renovation.
